Apply for the board

For over 20 years, the Hanze Studentenbelangen Vereniging has been participating in the Hanze University Representative Council. In this council, we discuss and make decisions regarding the policies of Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Through our efforts, we have ensured provisions such as more and better study spaces, room for active students, and student psychologists.

To ensure the effective functioning of the faction, a strong board is essential. Perhaps you can make a difference in the coming year! As a board member, your primary task is to promote the Hanze Studentenbelangen Vereniging and to take care of the association.

Your board year will consist of enjoyable gatherings, general meetings, substantive events, campaigns, and initiatives. During your board year, you will learn a lot socially and professionally, make a meaningful contribution to your fellow students, make friends for life, and enhance your resume.

Within the HSV board, there are different positions, such as the chairman, treasurer, secretary, internal commissioner, and external commissioner. Of course, not everything is rigidly defined in roles, and as a new board, you will decide on the division of tasks.

Chairman

The chairman is the ultimate team player of the board. The chairman keeps everyone on their toes and is the figurehead of the association. As the chairman, you are driven, socially adept, and persuasive.

Secretary

As the secretary, you are the communication hub of the association. You respond to incoming emails, manage the members, and prepare for meetings. It is helpful if you have good language skills.

Treasurer

The treasurer is responsible for collecting dues, creating a financial plan, and paying bills. Don't worry, it's not all about numbers. If you like to keep things organized, this is the role for you!

Coordinator of internal affairs

As the coordinator of internal affairs, you are responsible for all committees (except the audit committee) within the Hanze Studentenbelangen Vereniging. You attend as many committee meetings as possible and engage with the active members of our association. If you are sociable, involved, or good at providing guidance, this is the role for you!

Coordinator of external affairs

The coordinator of external affairs is the board member responsible for the sponsorship and external contacts of our association. As student representatives of Hanze, we engage in discussions with external parties. We are not only in the council but also in some overarching consultation structures. As the external commissioner, you will participate in these discussions.

As the coordinator of external affairs, you are sociable, can present yourself professionally, and enjoy making new contacts.

If you are interested in a board position at the Hanze Studentenbelangen Vereniging, you can apply until April 11th. You can do this by sending an email with your motivation and including your CV to socobestuur@hanzestudentenbelangen.nl.
